libsybdb5 software package provides libraries for connecting to MS SQL and Sybase SQL servers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsybdb5
libsybdb5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsybdb5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsybdb5 *
You will get with libsybdb5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
